Mandate for El Español Fácil:El Español Fácil! is more than a Spanish curriculum that is homeschooler friendly. My curriculum has a mandate to prepare future generations for the great commission to the Spanish people of the world. As you examine the world's population you will see that there is a vast amount of Spanish speaking people from countries who desperately need missionaries. How, you ask?The frequency word list has been prepared from two different versions of the Spanish Bible, in addition to wholesome children’s stories and songs. This will guarantee that the student will be learning vocabulary that will prepare him for scripture memorization and witnessing. The curriculum takes the student on adventures with a Spanish family to a number of Spanish speaking countries. At first we go to Mexico, with Venuzualan cousins visiting for Level I. Level II sees the main characters, Belicia and Marita, maturing and taking an interest in missions. They travel to a number of poorer Spanish nations to minister and help the families and missionaries. The stories are light and do not push missions, but certainly show children one possible reason to learn the language. The curriculum also contains many idioms, cultural stories, games and songs that will only aid the future missionary to communicate better with the Spanish speaking world. As we view every subject with the Lord’s heart, I believe we will see His purpose in everything we and our children learn.
